Homemade banana & avocado puree

homemade banana puree

recipe-toddler

Perfect for developing taste buds, homemade banana puree is a classic, easy to prepare (no blender required – yay!) baby food, packed with potassium, fibre and Vitamin C. Yummy on its own, try adding avocado or cooked fruits including peaches and apples for a sweet – and nourishing – taste sensation.

But banana puree is not just for little ones; add it to pancake batter or serve on top of French toast with a sprinkling of cinnamon! With the warmer weather, bananas are in season, so experiment (or mash) away to create some new family favourites, such as Banana ‘Cado from Wholesome Baby Food.

Ingredients
1/2 a peeled and pitted avocado
1 small ripe banana

Directions
Mash the avocado and banana on two separate plates
Mix the mashed avocado with banana and serve
