CalciYum Kids Yoghurt

CalciYum issued a statement saying, “This recall is related to the packaging only, not the yoghurt itself. Some caps, when used to reseal the pouch after opening, are failing. This can result in the top of the cap coming away, which represents a possible choking hazard.”

“We are working on replacing the faulty caps with an alternative design. In the meantime, if you have a CalciYum Kids Yoghurt pouch product with a mushroom style cap, please return it to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.”

Parmalat children's yoghurt recall

Parmalat Australia distributed the pouches through the following stores:

  • Woolworths
  • Aldi
  • Metcash/IGA
  • Foodworks
  • Foodland
  • Friendly Grocer 4 Square and/or Farmer Jacks stores nationally.

Also being recalled by Parmalat Australia are the following Tamar Valley Dairy Kids Yoghurt Pouches:

Tamar Valley Dairy Kids Tropical All Natural Greek Yoghurt 110g in a metallic pouch

Use by 20th August 2017 through to 25th September 2017 (inclusive)

Tamar Valley Dairy Kids Vanilla All Natural Greek Yoghurt 110g in a metallic pouch

Use by 20th August 2017 through to 25th September 2017 (inclusive)

Tamar Valley Dairy Kids Strawberry All Natural Greek Yoghurt 110g in a metallic pouch

Use by 20th August 2017 through to 1st October 2017 (inclusive)

Why are they being recalled?

The centre top of the cap may become dislodged when it’s replaced on the cap after the initial use. This poses a choking hazard.

What should you do?

If you have any of these yoghurts in your fridge, take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
