Finding a party theme which is truly gender neutral is really not that easy … but we think a Farmyard Party Theme is pretty close to perfect. Rambunctious boys and girly-girls alike love it, especially when there’s an animal farm to keep them entertained. Our party expert, Jennifer Henderson from Love JK, shows you how to host your own brilliant, rustic bash!
For farmyard party inspiration, check out this super cute party hosted by Mum of two and owner of Mini Party People, Stacey Moran for her youngest son.
Love JK’s personalised farmyard invitations set the tone, and were replicated into an amazing cake by the talented ladies at Burnt Butter.
Stacey used adorable moss-green bunnies to decorate the table and garden, along with red chequered tablecloths and chalkboard signs. Burnt Butter made the cute animal cupcakes.
The party table featured crates of favour bags decorated with gingham pinweels. Sweets and treats were displayed on an artificial grass runner. The backdrop featured wooden trees (available to hire from Mini Party People), along with personalised bunting flags made by Love JK.
Farmyard food included tasty cookie tea cups, super easy animal shaped fairy bread (made using cookie-cutters) and pigs in mud mousse by Burnt Butter. Too cute for words!
Stacey used mini milking stools and child sized tables for the kids to sit down to eat, keeping food mess to one area of the house. She served pre-prepared lunchboxes filled with fruit, sandwiches and a couple of treats.
A real live animal farm completed the picture! Stacey hired a mobile baby animal farm so that kids could get up close and personal with farmyard friends. Melbourne photography studio, My Little Tribe captured the farmyard fun.
