Move over man caves, here comes the She Shed

Posted in Home.

She Sheds are the latest trend hitting backyards around the world. They’re a purpose built place mummies can go to get away from it all to completely relax and unwind, have a glass of wine, nap, paint, craft or even work.

We’ve rounded up our top She Sheds to inspire you to create your very own retreat right in your own backyard.

Crafting retreat

She Shed - Craft room

Create a place to create! A crafting shed is the perfect place to be creative and keep all your supplies away from grubby fingers. Be inspired by this this beautiful She Shed filled with crafting goodness. (via Daisy Mae Belle)

Take a nap

She Shed - Beautiful outdoor bedroom

Sometimes even a Mum needs to take a nap. Give yourself a place to relax and unwind with an outdoor bedroom. The prefect place to grab a sneaky nap while the kids are exploring the backyard. (via BHG & A dose of the delightful)

Shed to palace

She Shed - Shed to palace!

This shed conversion was done by a husband as a wedding gift for his wife. Well he certainly is a catch! Starting off as a neglected potting shed, he added new windows and a glass ceiling. From the chandelier to the furniture we think you would end up spending more time in here than your actual house. (via Countryliving)

Office retreat

She Shed - Outdoor office space

Walk down the garden path to your very own retreat in the backyard with this shed to office conversion. Created as a retreat and an office, it is used for meetings, a place to relax and a place to work. The owner also lets her kids use her shed – we think it be better for Mums only! The Pip is cool

She shed - sewing shed

Called ‘The Pip’ this sewing shed is so adorable it makes you want to learn to sew. With character oosing from every corner you will need to be dragged kicking and screaming back to the actual house. (via Our Wee Farm)

Dark outside, light inside

She shed - backyard studio

Putting two sheds together Paige Morse from Homepolish has created an amazing space. Initially wanting a studio for her to work she found the space lent itself to adding a bathroom and living space. (via Pop Sugar)

Throw a party

She Shed - Rustic party place

If entertaining is more your style why not make your She Shed all about the parties. This shed was converted from dirty to glamorous with some gorgeous accessories and lots and lots of fairy lights. Everyone will want to come to your parties with a shed like this. (via Garden and Gun)

50s inspired

She shed: Renne and Alberts 50's inspired Shed

Go a little crazy with a theme shed. Ann Bate created this She Shed to look like a 50s diner after she lost her parents. They love the 50s and she felt creating this space made her closer to them. It will have you downing milkshakes and bopping to Elvis in no time. (via Daily Mail)
