Bottle tops, broken combs, pieces of frayed rope – these discarded objects are the raw materials for the marvellous, whimsical mini creations from @virgin_honey
With this endlessly inspiring account, artist Sabine Timm shows us the truth behind the old cliché “one person’s trash is another’s treasure”. The self-described “beach-trash collector” first started creating these scenes to entertain her son on summer holidays and we are so glad she now shares them with the world.
Bits and pieces that should by all rights be in the bin instead come alive as monkeys, bunnies and bears in Timm’s hands. The instagram happy face creations feature broken combs appear as spiky hairdos, an old belt buckle is suddenly a baby owl, and a mangled bottle top transforms into lips.
Flowers and leaves are a favourite too, with carnations, pansies and wisteria all revealing their true faces.
