National recall of baby biscuits due to choking concern

Parents are being warned not to let their babies eat a popular brand of baby biscuit, amid concerns they pose a choking hazard.

Australian and New Zealand Food Standards has issued a nationwide recall of Organix Finger Foods Baby Biscuits in three flavours, stating, “the product can crumble into pieces which may pose a potential choking hazard”.

The recalled products are:

  • Organix Finger Foods Creamy Vanilla Baby Biscuits 54g
    Best Before (all dates up to and including) 10.10.2017
  • Organix Finger Foods Strawberry Baby Biscuits 54g
    Best Before (all dates up to and including) 05.10.2017
  • Organix Finger Foods Banana Baby Biscuits 54g
    Best Before (all dates up to and including) 13.09.2017

These products are sold at Coles, Woolworths and some health food stores across the nation.

Parents are being urged not to let their babies eat these biscuits, and to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
