The winter school holidays will be here before you can sneeze, so here’s something to pop on the to-do list –  a spot of spectacular ice skating in Melbourne.

The Yarra River will play backdrop to Federation Square’s very own, open air ice skating rink for budding ice queens and snow kings.

But if you want to snap up some tickets to River Rink, you’ll have to get your skates on!

A winter wonderland

For most of July 2017, the Yarra River terrace will host a winter wonderland, and the crowning glory will be the River Rink.  Kids of all ages can take to the ice and bop along to music underneath the twinkling fairy lights – little skaters can use the very cute ice skating aids to help build their confidence.

There are day and night ice skating sessions available, with a limited number of people allowed on the ice at any one time. And if the kids work up an appetite, there will be plenty of tasty delights for sale along the Yarra.
