Japanese maternity ward food

Those sweet moments after birth are like nothing else – a gorgeous bub in your arms, and a sense of pure satisfaction … sigh. And then you realise how hungry you are.

Birthing a bub will make you ravenous, and if you give birth in hospital one of the huge pluses is that your meals are cooked for you. It may not be five star dining, but we don’t do too bad in Australia. But have you ever wondered what other new mums get to eat during their maternity ward stay?

An imgur user has lifted the cloche on her hospital meals after recently giving birth in Japan, and we’re all sorts of green with envy.
