A snoozing Prince Louis has made just his second public appearance since his birth, as he was christened in London overnight.
The 11-week-old Prince was cradled in his mum Kate Middleton’s arms as they approached the Archbishop of Canterbury ahead of the ceremony. The Duchess of Cambridge was heard saying her third child was relaxed and serene and she hoped he “stays like this”.

Alongside the beaming mum was Prince William and proud siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. They were followed by newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. It’s the first time the new family of five has been pictured together in public, in what’s been a busy year for the Royal Family.

Prince Louis wore a handmade replica of the Royal Christening Robe made by dressmaker to the Queen Angela Kelly. The original Royal Christening Robe was made in 1841 for the christening of Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter.
The private christening was attended by about 30 people, including Kate’s pregnant sister Pippa Middleton and Prince Charles and Camilla. However the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh didn’t attend – according to Buckingham Palace, it was not due to health reasons.
Six godparents took part in the ceremony, William’s friends Nicholas van Cutsem, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher, Lady Laura Meade and Guy Pelly and Kate’s cousin Lucy Middleton and school friend Hannah Carter.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose two hymns for the christening service along with two lessons and two anthems. One of the anthems, This is the day which the Lord hath made, was composed for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Wedding on 29th April 2011.

Royal baby name announced (and it’s not what we were expecting)
APRIL 27, 2018
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s bouncing baby boy has a name – and it’s a regal as you’d expect of a little prince – albeit a surprise to everyone.
Kensington Palace announced in a statement just minutes ago that the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is named Louis Arthur Charles.

The 8lbs 7oz prince was born in London on Monday, with mum Kate leaving the hospital looking radiant just seven hours after giving birth.
The bookies had been throwing around several name front-runners ahead of today’s announcement – including Arthur, Albert, Philip, Thomas and Edward. The fifth-in-line to the British throne, little Louis is the younger brother of equally regally named Prince George, four and Princess Charlotte, two. Both George Alexander Louis and Charlotte Elizabeth Diana’s traditional names are tributes to previous members of the royal family.
And like any growing family, it seems the Royals are just as nervous as the rest of us when it comes to juggling their little ones. Prince William told reporters as he left the hospital that while he is ‘very happy, very delighted’ he also has ‘thrice the worry now’.

Just seven hours after giving birth, the Duchess and her husband appeared on the doorstep of the hospital to wave to the gathered crowd before leaving for Kensington Palace.
The tiny prince is a younger brother for Prince George, four and Princess Charlotte, two, who visited their new sibling at hospital before the family headed home. He now becomes fifth in line to the throne, after grandad Prince Charles, dad Prince William, and his siblings. Uncle Prince Harry now slips to sixth in line.
Kensington Palace let the adoring public know via Twitter that the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labour, around 5.30pm Australian time. She travelled by car to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital with Prince William.
Early on in her pregnancy the Duchess once again suffered from severe morning sickness, something she battled in her two previous pregnancies and saw her hospitalised.
The royal couple took two days to announce the names of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, so we can expect to find out the youngest royal’s moniker later this week.

Princess Charlotte is TWO cute in adorable second birthday photo
MAY 02, 2017
It’s a big day for the royal family as their little Princess Charlotte turns two. To celebrate the occasion the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released a new photograph of Princess Charlotte for the world to coo over.
Like in many of the official portraits the royal family has shared on social media, their sweet little princess sports a cute cardigan as she plays outside their home in Norfolk, Anmer Hall. The birthday photo was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, who clearly has an eye for photography.
A party fit for a princess
What’s in store for the royal princess on her special day? Sources speculate that the royal family are planning a low-key Frozen-themed party at their Norfolk estate as Princess Charlotte turns two. Guests will most likely include Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton as well as Charlotte’s aunt, Pippa Middleton and uncle, James Middleton.
Big brother, Prince George, who turns four in July, will certainly be there and Charlotte’s royal cousins, Mia Tindall and Savannah and Isla Phillips, who are of a similar age to the Princess, are also expected to attend.
My, have you grown!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have happily shared glimpses of their private life with the public since becoming parents. Over the past two years, we’ve watched Princess Charlotte grow from a chubby cheek cherub to a darling little girl.
Her first public appearance came when she was just a few hours old. Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana captured hearts as she left St Mary’s hospital in her mother’s arms, just hours after Catherine gave birth.
One month later, their Royal Highnesses also shared a series of sweet siblings snaps, with Prince George giving his brand new little sister kisses and cuddles on a sofa.
At six months of age, Kate gave us another snippet of her sweetheart as Charlotte, dressed in an adorable pink cardigan and floral dress, playfully posed with a stuffed animal.
Last year, as the Princess celebrated her first birthday, the Duchess was also behind the lens of a series of official photos. Little Charlotte wears her signature cosy cardigan and blue bow in her hair.
And now? Charlotte is looking more and more like her dad each day (pictured above on his second birthday), though she has all the style of her mum. Charlotte’s adorable yellow cardigan, which has been tracked down to designer John Lewis, sold out within minutes of the photo being released.
As expected, the world has melted over the beautiful photo of Princess Charlotte with thousands of comments coming through their social media outlets.
Kensington Palace has since released another statement thanking “everyone for all of the lovely messages they have received, and hope that everyone enjoys this photograph of Princess Charlotte as much as they do.”
How could we not? Happy birthday Princess! We cannot wait to see what’s in store for you next!
