A legend of women’s tennis has celebrated her 38th birthday by announcing she’s expecting her first little bub.
Martina Hingis, who was the world’s youngest Grand Slam champion and world number one, took to Twitter with an adorable pic of a teeny tennis dress to reveal her pregnancy.

“Thanks for all the birthday wishes!” She wrote. “Happy to share that this will be the last time we’ll celebrate as a couple … excited to announce that we will become a family of three.”
Martina married former Swiss tennis team doctor Harald Leemann in July this year, after officially retiring from tennis in 2017. The Swiss player won five Grand Slam singles titles during her career, which was plagued with injury.
