Kayla Itsines welcomes a baby boy

Fitness Mumma Kayla Itsines has announced that she and partner Jae Woodroffe have welcomed their first child together, a little baby boy named Jax Stokes Woodroffe.

Over on Instagram Kayla shared with her followers that the couple welcomed baby Jax in just over two hours of labour on the 5th of January 2023. She wrote:

“Words absolutely cannot describe this feeling. We are SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW.

We went into hospital around 6:30am on the 5th of January. He was out in the world by 8:45am weighing 3.5kgs (7.72 pounds)

The most amazing thing, as he was coming out, out of nowhere on a completely random playlist the hospital was playing, Jae’s dads funeral song started playing over the speakers.

I heard Jae say at the same time “It’s a boy!!!!!”. I burst into tears, he burst into tears and we got to meet our baby BOY💙

Healthy and quiet and as for Arna … even though she said she wouldn’t if he was a boy… she absolutely LOVES him!!!

The name Jax is a popular one-syllable contemporary version of the name Jack and means “God has been gracious; has shown favour” while his middle name Stokes is a gender-neutral name of English origin that means tree stump.

Since making the announcement that little Jax was earth-side, Kayla posted a very cute (and slightly tear-inducing) Instagram reel showing big sister Arna first meeting with her little brother Jax. She wrote:

“Meet our precious baby boy…. with the worlds best big sister 🥹💙”

The self-made fitness influencer has kept her dedicated fans up to date with her pregnancy while also sharing her maternity fitness journey including pregnancy workout and eating programs.

In late July in her first post, after the announcement was made, Kayla thanked her followers for their congratulations on her second pregnancy. She wrote:

“Thank you SO much for everyone’s support and love over the past few days! I could not be happier ❤️❤️

When I look back at my pregnancy with Arna, I wish I had shared more about my experience! This time around is sooo different. I feel amazing and I’ve already filmed so much of my journey up until this point and can’t wait to share it with you … alongside my usual trainer content of course!

At 16 weeks pregnant Kayla was in full swing with her pregnancy workouts, showing off one of her early pregnancy leg workout routines.

I also went out into the main gym area and used the hip abduction machine but didn’t film it because i felt too awkward 🤣

I honestly feel great !
This is a total different pregnancy to last time.

I don’t know what I’m having but if I’m comparing to Arna, this is the COMPLETE opposite. So I’m saying boy 😁😁 Not finding out until the day!

In August Kayla shared a cute pic from the photoshoot she did with the iFIT app. In her caption she wrote:

“Baby’s first @iFit shoot 🤭💜 Just confirming this is NOT a gender reveal hahah. I know it looks like it! 🤣🤣 The vibe of today’s set was epic… Ready to do it all over again tomorrow!! 🙌”

When she was over halfway through her pregnancy, Kayla posted a gym selfie with the caption:

“My little peanut isn’t such a peanut anymore 🥜 We’re over halfway now…. 😍😍😍”

In a fun Instagram reel Kayla made a game out of what everyone thought the gender of her baby was. Kayla and Jae decided to leave the gender of Jax to a surprise so in the video she left it up to her followers to guess with a game of this or that.

This or That… pregnancy edition!! Based on my answers, what do you think I’m having??

There are SO many old tales that have 100% convinced me that I am having a boy!!! I am sooo superstitious so I absolutely believe in these …. even though they can get a little bit ridiculous at times hahah. 🤣 I am actually LOVING that I haven’t found out the gender for this pregnancy! The anticipation of finding out is so much fun.”

Throughout her pregnancy Kayla has taken advantage of being able to freely travel again, in August alone she was a true jet-setter visiting places like the UK, the United States, Greece, and around Australia.

We have absolutely loved following Kayla’s pregnancy journey and wish her, Jae, Arna, and Jax all the very best in their next chapter as a family of four.

Australian fitness influencer Kayla Itsines and her (recent) fiancé Jae Woodroffe are expecting their first baby together.

Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old shared the exciting news with her followers, posting a set of photos of the couple looking loved-up, holding their ultrasound scan. She wrote:

“We are SO excited to share the news that our family is growing. 🥹❤️

Arna cannot wait to be a big sister and @jaewoodroffe and I could not be more happy right now!!!!!

SO much to celebrate & be grateful for! We can’t wait to share this journey with you.

This is Kayla and Jae’s first baby together but Kayla’s second pregnancy as the fitness star has a three-year-old daughter, Arna Leia Pearce from a previous relationship.

According to Kayla’s Instagram bio, the Adelaide-born business mogul is in fact fifteen weeks pregnant. Added just under her name she has written:

“💍 J.W ❤️ Arna🤰🏻#15weeks”

Jae also posted the good news on his Instagram alongside photos of the couple cuddling on the couch together. He captioned the images:

“Can’t wait to meet you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ #january2023 @kayla_itsines I love you !!!”

It has been a steady stream of great news from this couple who have been together for over a year, as just last week they announced to their followers that they had gotten engaged.

Kayla posted a photo of herself and Jae cuddled up with a big shiny ring on her finger alongside the caption:

“YES!!! 🥹💍❤️ @jaewoodroffe #engaged”

Such an exciting time for the Itsines/Woodroffe household and Kayla’s multitude of loving fans. We wish this new and growing family all the love and cannot wait to see what comes next.
