Weleda Baby Teething Powder
Weleda Australia has urgently recalled Weleda Baby Teething Powder following a recall in New Zealand.
Following consultation with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, Weleda Australia Pty Ltd is recalling the below batches of Baby Teething Powder (a homoeopathic product used for teething) because small, thread-like (up to approximately 1cm long x less than 1mm wide), soft, slivers of white plastic may peel off the plastic lid and drop into the powder.
Weleda explained that no other batches of Baby Teething Powder are affected by this recall.
Product: Weleda Baby Teething Powder
Defect: Small, thread-like (up to approximately 1cm long x less than 1mm wide), soft, slivers of white plastic may peel off the plastic lid and drop into the powder.
Hazard: If a small sliver of plastic was consumed it may constitute a choking hazard. This recall is a precautionary measure, it was not initiated by any report of a baby choking. There is no chemical or microbiological health risk.
