The fastest man in history has become a dad for the first time, welcoming a baby girl with partner Kasi Bennett.
The track and field legend has been sharing the lead up to the birth on Instagram, but he’s yet to confirm the arrival of his daughter. However, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness posted a congratulatory tweet, confirming the pair welcomed their daughter just a couple of days ago.

Usain, 33, retired from athletics in 2017, but remains the fastest man in history. He set the world record of 9.58 seconds over 100 metres at the Berlin World Championships in 2009.

The sporting superstar, who is the only sprinter to win the 100m and 200m at three consecutive Olympics, has previously said he’d try and talk his future children out of following in his footsteps. “That’s going to be hard for my kid. If they want to do it, I’m fine with it. But initially, I’m going to say don’t do it, because I know the pressure that will come along with it.”
