From the paper plane-inspired invites to the passport cookies and pastel floral decorations, it’s up, up and away with Falguni’s exquisite travel-themed baby shower.
With the arrival of Covid-19 restrictions, Falguni never dreamt she’d be able to have such a gorgeous baby shower, but her beautiful friends and family banded together to create a soiree that lasted well into the evening.
A travel-themed baby shower
Victorian mum Falguni was just over 36 weeks pregnant when her husband and two friends pulled together her travel-themed, gender neutral baby shower.
It included adorable invites shaped like paper planes, and a theme of teal and pink, Falguni’s favourite colours. The balloon backdrop, cakes and sweet treats all reflected her love for the colours, with delicate flower accents softening the dessert table.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the baby shower had just 20 guests, but all were treated to an afternoon and evening of elegant food and party games. Falguni requested no gifts, only blessings, but her guests still spoilt her and her husband with a cot, capsule, pram, bath and change table, breast pump, baby layette gifts, gold jewellery and pamper hamper for the new mum.
Guests also took part in baby shower games including nursery rhyme trivia, guess the sweet mess, mystery in- flight flavours (guess the baby food flavours) and turbulence ahead, late night nappies (write a message on a nappy for the parents-to-be).
