GAIA Plant-Base Water Wipes Review

We asked a group of mums from the Mum’s Grapevine Facebook baby groups to try out GAIA Plant-Based Water Wipes for a couple of weeks, and here’s what they had to say:

Erin Olsson, mum of four-month-old Ava

GAIA Water Wipes review Erin Olssen

‘They don’t break and are perfectly moist’

From our experience in the past with baby wipes, I have had many to cause irritation or rash on my daughter’s skin. I was unsure how my daughter’s skin would react to these wipes, but willing to give anything a try. And they beat all my expectations. Not only are they soft and gentle, they don’t break and are perfectly moist. Loved them. I absolutely loved how gentle they were on my baby girl’s very sensitive skin. She will quite often break out in a rash or have a reaction to the slightest of chemicals in baby products, but these wipes are perfect for her delicate skin. By using these wipes, not only am I caring for my daughter’s sensitive skin, I am also choosing an option that is great for our environment being 100% biodegradable. Ticks all the boxes!

‘GAIA Water Wipes made cleaning a messy nappy really easy’

I love that they aren’t too wet, a lot of the other water wipe brands are really wet and at times make cleaning a messy nappy harder due to the extra moisture. GAIA Water Wipes made cleaning a messy nappy really easy for me! I love that they are plant-based and a big win for us was that they are biodegradable. We will be using again them for sure.

‘I love that they are totally safe to use on my babe’s delicate skin.’

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but in regards to the first appearance and feel of the wipe they seemed dry – however, my expectations were exceeded as I realised how well they clean and how gentle they are on my daughter’s skin. I love that there are no hidden nasties and that they are totally safe to use on my babe’s delicate skin.

‘I love that they’re soft and gentle’

I love that they’re good for my baby’s skin and also for the environment. I think they were better than I was expecting, I’m always sceptical about trying new products when I already used ones I liked. But these new wipes were great. I loved that they were soft and gentle on my baby’s skin.

Laura Brackley, mum of 3-month-old Harrison

GAIA Water Wipes review Laura Brackley‘I’m surprised how long they last’

I was quite surprised by the quality of the wipes. I loved that these wipes were plant-based and didn’t react to my son’s skin. They were damp enough to clean up any mess but not too wet that they’d leave him wet. They definitely exceeded my expectations! They were gentle enough on my son’s skin and the fact that they’re plant-based and biodegradable made them even more appealing. I’m surprised how long they last as well – don’t need to use many to get a great clean!

Ally Montgomery, mum of five-month-old Poppy

GAIA Water Wipes review Ally Montgomery‘I love that the wipes are so friendly to both my baby and the planet’

They were amazing, better than I thought! I love that the wipes are so friendly to both my baby and the planet. The amount of wipes we go through in a week is ridiculous so this makes me feel better that they are biodegradable. Being so gentle on my baby’s skin and no harmful ingredients I can even use them to wipe her sticky hands and face after food with no issues.

Natalie Carroll, mum of 16-week-old Tobias

GAIA Water Wipes review Natalie Carroll‘These wipes surprised me and kept my baby clean and rash free’

I was a bit nervous as my little boy has had reactions to wipes previously and had just found some wipes that didn’t irritate him. These wipes surprised me and kept him clean and rash free. When it comes to saying what I love about these wipes – I can’t decide between their natural, no-nasties ingredient list or the biodegradable wipe! We really enjoyed them.

Helen Fong, mum of eight-month-old Matthew

GAIA Plant Base Wipes review Helen Fong

‘I like that it doesn’t have hidden nasties’

These wipes are super durable and don’t tear easily, great for wiping down hands and faces. Probably not the softest or thickest wipes on the market but I like that it doesn’t have hidden nasties in it. Would buy for on the go use!
