Twins both give birth on their birthday

Twins Amber Tramontana and Autum Shaw have pretty much everything in common. The identical twins are both nurse practitioners, they both live in Tennessee and now they have daughters that share the same birthday as each other, and them!

The 33-year-old sisters had their baby girls just an hour and a half apart on October 29 – which just happens to be Amber and Autum’s birthday as well.

“We were in rooms next to each other,” Amber told TODAY Parents. “The nurses had a tally going to see who was in the lead! It was pretty funny.” Autum’s little girl Charleston Scott was born first, followed by Blakely James 90 minutes later.

Second time around

Incredibly, the pair were also pregnant together for their first babies – their two-year-old boys who were born 10 weeks apart.

“We didn’t plan to get pregnant at the same time,” Autum explained. “But we’ve always done everything together our whole lives. We went to nursing school together, we went to grad school together, we had our boys and now we have our girls. So it’s almost like, what’s next?”

Autum had struggled with infertility, and her sister Amber was unsure about sharing the news of her second pregnancy with her twin, who’d had a miscarriage on Christmas Eve last year.

“I FaceTimed her because I wanted to get a feel for whether or not it was a good time to tell her,” Amber explained. But she didn’t even have to say a word.

“Autum’s twin intuition kicked in,” Amber said. “She goes, ‘Are you pregnant?’ And I said, ‘Yes. Why are you pregnant?’ And she said, ‘Yes!’” “I just knew!” Autum added.

Both of the twins were induced on October 29, with the same doctor delivering both girls, in adjacent rooms “Autum delivered and we were able to hear a faint cry,” Amber told Good Morning America. “My husband knocked on the wall as a way of saying congratulations. 90 minutes later, we deliver and they returned the same knock.”
