Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have a new cousin, with Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa giving birth to her second baby.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister and her husband James Matthews are parents for the second time, with Pippa giving birth to a baby girl with a rather regal baby name; Grace Elizabeth Jane Matthews. The couple also has a two-year-old son, Arthur.
The Sun reports that a family spokesperson said, “I’m delighted to confirm, Grace Elizabeth Jane Matthews was born around 4.22am this morning, weighing 6lbs 7oz (2.9kg). Mother and baby are doing well.” Grace’s middle names honour her two grandmother, Carole Elizabeth Middleton and Jane Matthews.
Pippa, 37, and James, 45, married in 2017, with Pippa sharing the news of her first pregnancy via a magazine article. She revealed that during her first pregnancy she avoided the severe morning sickness that her sister Kate suffered throughout her pregnancies.
Pippa Middleton’s first birth
Just hours after Prince Harry and Meghan announced they were expecting a royal bub in 2018, Pippa Middleton became a mum.
Pippa and husband James Matthews welcomed their first baby, an 8lb 9oz boy, just after 1am on October 15, 2018 Australian time at the same hospital where her brother-in-law William and sister Kate had Prince George, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte.
A spokesperson for Pippa said at the time, “Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well. A Kensington Palace spokesman said Prince William and Kate Middleton are ‘thrilled’ for the new parents. Pippa was a guest at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank just days ago
