Usain Bolt welcomes twins: Saint Leo and Thunder Bolt

Usain Bolt twins

The fastest man in history, Usain Bolt, has welcomed twins with partner Kasi Bennett. And their adorable names have honoured family traditions.

Already parents to one-year-old Olympia Lightening Bolt, the couple has revealed their newborn twin boys on Instagram. Saint Leo Bolt’s name is a nod to Usain’s father, while Thunder Bolt continues the storm theme.

The track and field legend didn’t reveal that he was expecting twins, with Kasi posting a series of photos and a video celebrating the births and Usain as a father.

Usain, 34, retired from athletics in 2017, but remains the fastest man in history. He set the world record of 9.58 seconds over 100 metres at the Berlin World Championships in 2009.

The sporting superstar, who is the only sprinter to win the 100m and 200m at three consecutive Olympics, has previously said he’d try and talk his future children out of following in his footsteps. “That’s going to be hard for my kid. If they want to do it, I’m fine with it. But initially, I’m going to say don’t do it, because I know the pressure that will come along with it.”
