Red Hot Chili Pepper’s bassist Michael Balzary, known as ‘Flea’ is a father once more. The 60-year-old welcomed his first child with his wife Melody Ehsani earlier this month, announcing the arrival of their baby on a recent red carpet.
While speaking to E News Flea confirmed that their baby had been born and that he is “very happy albeit a little sleep-deprived”.
Melody Ehsani who is an American fashion designer announced her pregnancy earlier this year in July with an Instagram post. In a series of selfies, posing in lowrise pants and a baby pink sports bra Melody wrote:
“I’ve put on a couple of pounds”.

The newest addition, whose name and gender have not yet been revealed, is Melody’s first baby and the third for Flea, who has two older daughters Clara and Sunny, each from previous partners.

The couple who kept a lot of their dating life private married in October 2019 in Los Angeles. The couple looked super glamourous in their respective attire, Melody wearing a fabulous lace wedding gown while Flea donned a lilac-coloured tuxedo, mint bow tie and sneakers to match.
The rockstar posted to Instagram to mark the occasion with a sweet photo of the pair with the caption:
“My life has changed forever and I am eternally humble and grateful. The person who sees all of me and knows who I am. My wife @melodyehsani ❤️❤️❤️”

Although we don’t yet know the gender or name of the newest addition to the couple’s life, we wish them all the best and hope that the new baby doesn’t cause too much sleep deprivation!
