Hilary Swank, the two-time Academy Award-winning actress, has announced the joyous news that she and her husband Philip Schneider have welcomed their April babies into the world. The 48-year-old actress shared her excitement with her fans and followers on Instagram that the couple had in fact welcomed both a boy and a girl.
In a snapshot taken looking out over the water with two tiny heads cradled in each hand against her shoulder, Hilary wrote in her caption:
“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. 👼🏼🤍👼🏼

The comments were flooded with congratulations and well wishes from a number of A-list celebrities including, Viola Davis, Kate Hudson, Mariska Hargitay, and even new mum-to-be Lindsay Lohan who wrote: “Congratulations!!!!!!!!! God bless!”
The star also shared the most beautiful black and white photograph from her maternity photoshoot. In her caption, she wrote:
“Thank you @brianbowensmith for capturing one of my favourite moments in time, being pregnant (next to having my babies earth-side and meeting and marrying my husband 💝) I was 27 1/2 weeks here.🤰🏽🥰

Throughout the months that Hilary was public with her pregnancy, she shared sneak peeks into her journey on her Instagram.
Around one month following the announcement that she was pregnant, Hilary posted a photo from the hair and makeup trailer on the set of her current series ‘Alaska Daily’, where she donned a Halloween-inspired t-shirt. She captioned the pic:

On Christmas, the actress posed in front of a Christmas tree decked out in a red and white candy-striped onesie, cradling her bump. She wrote:

Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank has announced that she is pregnant with her first baby. Except the 48-year-old Mum to be revealed that it’s in fact not one, but TWO babies!
Hilary broke the news while on the American talk show Good Morning America as well as on Instagram. She posted on her page a very cute GIF cradling her growing belly and pointing to the bump. She writes:
“Coming shoon… DOUBLE feature! 👼🏼👼🏼”

The star has been very open with her plans for a family throughout her years in the spotlight saying that she “loves kids” and “that it would be an important thing to happen for me someday whenever the time is right.”
Hilary began dating her now-husband, producer Philip Schneider in 2016, and the pair were married in 2018 in a ceremony at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, California.
The Million Dollar Baby actress shared photos from the day on her Instagram back in 2018 stating that she had married the ‘man of her dreams’. She captioned:
“It happened…my dream came true. I married the man of my dreams in the middle of an enchanting redwood grove with all our loved ones around, including my rescue, Kai as our ring bearer. 🙌🏽💫💞 8.18.18 #Philary
