FAQ: Your questions answered

To help you find the perfect raincoat for your kids we’ve answered some of the most common questions.

What’s the difference between a waterproof and splash-proof jacket?

A kids’ waterproof jacket is made from materials that have a waterproof membrane or coating, which prevents water from seeping through the fabric and reaching our kiddie’s skin. While a splash-proof jacket is designed to protect kids from light rain or splashes of water, but it is not fully waterproof. These jackets are typically made from water-resistant materials that can repel water to some extent, but they are not completely impervious to water.

What does it mean if a raincoat is breathable?

Breathability refers to a raincoat’s ability to allow moisture vapour, such as sweat, to escape from inside the raincoat while still keeping rainwater out. They are designed to wick away moisture from your child’s skin and allow it to evaporate through tiny pores in the fabric.
