Style icon Sofia Richie Grainge has made the exciting announcement that nine months following her marriage to her husband, Elliot Grainge, the couple are expecting their first child together.
At 25 years old, Sofia, daughter of music legend Lionel Richie, shared the news on social media that she and Elliot, a music executive, will be welcoming their Gemini baby into the world later this year. Adding to the anticipation, the couple revealed that they were expecting a baby girl.

In an exclusive interview with Vogue, Sofia opened up about the touching moment when she shared the news with her husband. “Elliot was already used to me taking tests randomly. So he didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking,” she said. “When he came home, he’s such a sweet guy he always wants to protect my emotions and expectations, so he kind of sat me down and said, ‘If these are negative, don’t be upset. Our moment will come’.” However, all tests came back positive, leading to tears of joy and excitement for the couple.
The couple’s journey together has already been one of celebration, with a viral video of their wedding at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France capturing hearts on TikTok in April 2023. Featuring famous family and friends, including Paris Hilton, artist Stephen Sanchez singing her down the aisle with a customised rendition of his song ‘Until I Found You’, and her sister Nicole Richie, the video has over 28 million views on TikTok.

The 25-year-old Mum to be also shared the moment the couple found out that they were expecting a baby girl on her TikTok. In an understated gender reveal that almost seems rare these days, Sofia, Elliot and their fur baby made the reveal in their backyard by themselves.
