Get ready to do the twist, the twirl and maybe even the wiggle-waggle dance of excitement because The Wiggles family is about to get even bigger and wigglier. Beloved Red Wiggle, Caterina Mete, has announced the super-duper, bowtiful news that she is going to be a Mumma. And there’s going to be double the fun with not one, but TWO tiny tots joining the Wiggle-verse.
Caterina, who has been a part of The Wiggles for over 20 years, first as Dorothy the Dinosaur, then as a choreographer, and finally making her debut as the official Red Wiggle in 2022, shared the news on her Instagram through her account as well as the official Wiggles account.
“I’ve got some exciting news to share with you✨ I’m pregnant! With twin girls! 🤰🏻👶👶
“I’m due later in the year, but I wanted to share this news with you now, as I’ll be seeing many of you at the upcoming Wiggles shows and, as you can see, my girls are already starting to make an appearance.
“My two little miracles are the result of a long journey through IVF and an anonymous donor from my fertility clinic.
“I’m so excited for the adventure ahead, and I can’t wait to be a mum. I look forward to sharing more with you as I continue on this incredible journey.”

In her video, the 43-year-old mum-to-be steps out from behind the Wiggles couch to reveal her already-growing baby bump.
The video post received a swift flood of congratulatory messages from fans and fellow members of The Wiggles.
Blue Wiggle Anthony Field commented, “Absolutely thrilled by your fantastic news! Your Wiggles family stands by you on this enchanting journey.”
Purple Wiggle Lachy Gillespie wrote: “Double happy!!!! Congratulations Caterina on such fantastic news. Love from all of us!!! 💜💜💜💜💜”
Fellow Red Wiggle Simon Pryce also jumped in by writing, “Congratulations Caterina, on your beautiful news! Looks like there will be a couple more red Wiggles to join us all! Can’t wait to meet them! ❤️❤️”
