The star-studded universe just got a little brighter as actress Emmy Raver-Lampman and her partner, the multi-talented Daveed Diggs, have officially joined the ranks of parenthood, welcoming their first bundle of joy.
In a classic move that only the coolest parents could pull off, Emmy took to Instagram to introduce their newborn to the world, revealing not just a precious glimpse of their little one, but also a hilarious insight into the trials of new parenthood.
With a dash of humour and a whole lot of love, Emmy penned a heartfelt message: “Dear baby, you have forever changed us. Our hearts are filled with a kind of love we never thought possible. We love you more than you will truly ever know. Thank you for choosing us. Now please…go the f*ck to sleep. Love, mom and dad.”

The news sparked a shower of congratulations from their star-studded circle, with none other than Halle Bailey, Daveed’s co-star from “The Little Mermaid,” leading the charge with her well wishes commenting, “Congratulations!!!! love you!!!”.
Ritu Arya, Emmy’s partner in crime from “The Umbrella Academy,” also commented, responding with a string of laughing emojis in response to the couple’s caption about the lack of sleep. And who could resist the offer of babysitting from actress Katherine McNamara who wrote: “Oh I’m so happy for you both! I’ll babysit anytime!”
Emmy, known for her role as Allison Hargreeves in Netflix’s “The Umbrella Academy” and Daveed, the Tony Award winner for his electrifying performances in the original Broadway cast of “Hamilton,” originally shared the news of their pregnancy back in September 2023.
“We can’t wait to meet you. ❤️” wrote the couple, accompanied by a shot of the two of them cradling Emmy’s growing bump.
