Royal Park Nature Playground
The inner city of Melbourne has a shiny new playground. And boy, is it impressive! The $5.5 million redevelopment is nestled between green grass hills and sits adjacent to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
You can expect all the usual playground suspects such as slides, swings and lots (and lots!) of things to climb on, but this playground has really upped the anti with a host of fist-pump worthy extras.
For older children there’s rope climbing, high logs and rock walls to conquer and climb. Smaller ones can enjoy running riot around the masses of space and dipping their toes in the sand and water play areas.
The interactive hand pumps, water sprays and fountains will have kids big and small entertained for hours – just remember to pack a spare set of clothes for each tot in tow (we all know how much they can’t resist a soaking!).
Whether your taking a trip to Melbourne CBD or heading home from Melbourne Zoo, the Royal Park Nature Playground is the perfect place for a day of family summer fun.
