Hotham Valley Railway
Travel back in time with Hotham Valley Tourist Railway, located in Dwellingup, 100km south of Perth. With three different train rides to experience and a tourist park to explore, kids will be railing with excitement!

Bennett Brook Railway
Head to Whiteman Park for a Bennett Brook Railway adventure which takes little train enthusiasts deep into the bushlands and back. Located just outside of Perth, the BBR runs steam and diesel trains over six kilometres of 610mm gauge track through Whiteman Park’s banksia woodlands.

Castledare Miniature Railway
There are plenty of adorable mini trains to teeter over at Castledare Miniature Railway, which operates out of Niana Station and Wilson Park Station on Sundays, running through the Canning River Regional Park in Perth.

Stirling Miniature Railway
The pint-sized carriages at the Stirling Miniature Railway in Balcatta are another train enthusiast’s dreams come true. With free barbecues, plenty of shaded spots and a small kiosk, this is the place to stop for a picnic after a ride around the park.

Toodyay Miniature Railway
Toodyay brings out the yay in every train admirer with a number of different locomotives on site. The railway operates every first and third Sunday of the month, as well as Wednesdays during school holidays, from Duidgee Park, Toodyay.

Busselton Jetty Train
Combine the love of the ocean breeze with the thrill of a train ride with the Busselton Jetty Train. What makes this miniature train ride even more exciting is the arrival of ‘The Stocker Preston Express, a new electric train, the first of its kind in Australia.

Kojonup Tourist Railway
Sit back and relax while the train driver adventures all around Kojunup. Kojonup Tourist Railway offers their hour-long rides for little conductors every second Sunday.

Pemberton Tramway
If you’re in the Pemberton area, then head over to the Pemberton Tramway Society railway station, the starting point for an expedition through deep forests and picturesque countryside. The 10km journey allows riders to stop and explore the forests as part of the train tour.

Railway Heritage Museum
The Railway Heritage Museum may not have any train rides on offer, but it is still not to be missed, especially if you have a train aficionado under your roof. Located in Bassendean, the museum takes visitors back in time with their many locomotive exhibits and also has a large outdoor play area.
